Dreaming of Goals

A UK football fan has proved that dreams do come true after winning £25,000 from listening to one. Adrian Hayward dreamt that he saw the Liverpool football player Xabi Alonso score a goal from his own half. Hayward felt it was a sign and went and put a £200 bet on it.
Fan makes £25,000 on dream goal
"It seemed to take an age to hit the net but when it did, I just went berserk."
The 42-year-old father-of-two said he might spend some of the winnings on a family holiday.
Bookmaker Paddy Power said: "When he placed the bet we thought it was the easiest £200 we had ever made.

Top Three Energy Portals In the world

A spiritual travel writer talks in his article about meeting a Peruvian man called Antón Ponce de León Paiva, who was taught by his elders about the secrets of his ancestors the Incas. He met Antón at a small gathering in which he was holding in Cusco, Peru. Antón spoke about how there were great earth changes about to happen when the energies begin to raise at Lake Titicaca, Mount Kailas and Glastonbury.
Earth's Three Most Powerful Places
"When people find out I’m a travel writer who focuses on pilgrimages to places of power, they often ask me, "What's the most powerful place on Earth?" Because there are more than 1,000 major power centers around the planet, it’s hard to find anyone truly qualified to answer that question, but I have talked with someone who I believe has inside information.." newagejournal

What the Bleep Movie - Down the Rabbit Hole

After the success of the "What the Bleep do we Know?" movie, the follow up to it is creating much anticipation. "What the BLEEP!? - Down the Rabbit Hole" will be in cinemas in the United States in February this year (hopefully it doesn't take too long to spread around the world). There's some movie trailers and more about the What the Bleep phenomenon over at their website too. Keep up to date by signing up to their free email newsletter, the Bleeping Herald.
What the BLEEP!? Down the Rabbit Hole Movie
"The original storyline, which follows protagonist Amanda, (played by Academy Award winning actress, Marlee Matlin) as she sinks into a morass of depression and confusion about life, men, and her work as a professional photographer, flows between the lengthened and extremely meaty interviews. Sixteen of the world's top physicists, engineers, physicians, biologists, researchers, journalists and mystics talk in depth about consciousness, psi research, physics, biology, emotion and addictions. Unlike the first movie where the balance of interview and storyline was fairly even, in What the BLEEP - Down the Rabbit Hole there is never a doubt as to which is the main course. And the movie is the better for it."

Martin Luther King, Jr Warns America

There's an interesting article over at Beliefnet about Martin Luther King, Jr and his view on the dangers of America's unquestioning national pride and its effects on the world. Is it still happening today?
A 'True Revolution of Values'
"God didn’t call America to do what she’s doing in the world now," King thundered from his Atlanta pulpit exactly two months before his death at the hands of a cowardly racial terrorist. "God didn’t call America to engage in a senseless, unjust war." Here, of course, King referred to the Vietnam War, and he took a lashing in public for his dissenting views. He was accused of being unpatriotic. He was charged with moral treason. Other black leaders like Roy Wilkins and Whitney Young lambasted him (though they later came to acknowledge, as did the nation, that King’s views were courageous and correct). And yet, King was one of the greatest patriots this nation has produced. He proved it by giving his life in a fight to defend this country’s best side against its worst." Beliefnet

Jesus is a Gangsta - Queen Latifah

There's an interesting interview over at Beliefnet with the African American rapper/actress Queen Latifah, where she calls Jesus and God her homeboys..
Gang for God
"I just thank God first for everything. And then we just talk about whatever’s on my mind or whatever I’m thinking about. Sometimes I pray when I really feel like I need God to help me with something, and sometimes we just have conversations. We just kick it. God is my homeboy. Jesus is my homeboy. My mom would always crack up at me. I’m glad someone finally put it on a t-shirt, ‘cause I used to say that all the time. I’m like, "Ma, Jesus is a gangsta.” Think about it, when he’s ready to preach, he gathered up a crew. Now, 12 dudes walking around sound like a gang to me. But it was just a gang for God, a gang for Jesus, which is all good. Of course he can relate to the poor." Read the full Queen Latifah interview at Beliefnet

CS Lewis Quotes

With the Chronicles of Narnia movie at the cinemas getting excellent reviews, I thought I would share some quotes by the writer of the film, C.S Lewis. Clive Staples Lewis was born on the 29th of November 1898 in Belfast, Ireland and passed away in Oxford, England where he spent much of his life on the 22nd of November, 1963.
Anyway, here's some quotes by CS Lewis..

There are two kinds of people: those who say to God, "Thy will be done," and those to whom God says, "All right, then, have it your way."
C.S. Lewis

Aim at heaven and you will get earth thrown in. Aim at earth and you get neither.
C.S. Lewis

This is one of the miracles of love: It gives a power of seeing through its own enchantments and yet not being disenchanted.
