Quotes
- From the living
fountain of instinct flows everything that is creative; hence the unconscious
is not merely conditioned by history, but is the very source of the
creative impulse. It is like Nature herself - prodigiously conservative,
and yet transcending her own historical conditions in her acts of creation.
Carl Jung Quote
- Man can try to
name love, showering upon it all the names at his command, and still
he will involve himself in endless self deceptions. If he possesses
a grain of wisdom he will lay down his arms and name the unknown by
the more unknown - ignotum per ignotius - that is by the name of God.
Carl Jung Quote
- ...The unconscious
has no time. There is no trouble about time in the unconscious. Part
of our psyche is not in time and not in space. They are only an illusion,
time and space, and so in a certain part of our psyche time does not
exist at all.
Carl Jung Quote
- Everything that
irritates us about others can lead us to an understanding of ourselves.
Carl Jung Quote
- As far as we can
discern, the sole purpose of human existence is to kindle a light in
the darkness of mere being.
Carl Jung Quote
- Were it not a fact
of experience that supreme values reside in the soul, psychology would
not interest me in the least, for the soul would then be nothing but
a miserable vapor.
Carl Jung Quote
- The shoe that fits
one person pinches another; there is no recipe for living that suits
all cases.
Carl Jung Quote
- Your vision will
become clear only when you look into your heart. Who looks outside,
dreams. Who looks inside, awakens.
Carl Jung Quote
- Even a happy life
cannot be without a measure of darkness, and the word happy would lose
its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness.
